The terms for reading Bell Resident, and for the one-time Plus plan. They apply if you use the site in the United Kingdom.

Who publishes the site

Bell Resident is published by AGB READING 2020 LIMITED, company number 08971639. The registered office is Maria House, 35 Millers Road, Brighton BN1 5NP, United Kingdom. Editorial questions go to info@bellresident.com. Reader questions go to support@bellresident.com. Payment questions go only to billing@bellresident.com.

Reading for free

Most stories are free to read in a browser. You do not need an account for those. A few stories are marked for Bell Resident Plus. If you are not on Plus, you see the opening of that story and a link to the plan.

Accounts

An account is a name, an email address, and a password kept in this browser. We do not run a separate account server for that record. Clearing the site data in the browser removes it. You are responsible for the password on that device.

Bell Resident Plus

Plus is one plan at £9.99, paid once. There is no automatic renewal and no further charge. Payment is taken by PayPal. We do not receive or store your card number. The payee is AGB READING 2020 LIMITED.

Plus, on this device, unlocks the Plus stories, hides the ad slots, and lets you save stories. Unsubscribe, on My account, asks you to confirm. After you confirm, the status returns to Free. Unsubscribe does not start a new payment and does not refund the £9.99 already paid.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the site, attempt to break it, or copy stories in bulk. Stories are published for personal reading. You may share a link to a story.

Liability

The stories are explainers. They are not advice for a particular decision. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss that comes from relying on a story. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales hear disputes about them.
